important for refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 sense of belonging in society. Within each <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citypopulation.de\/en\/greece\/mun\/admin\/\" target=\"_self\">municipality<\/a>, by decision of the Municipality Council, operates a Migrant and Refugee Integration Council (MRIC \u2013 \u03a3\u0395\u039c\u03a0) which serves as a counseling body on migration and refugee issues and supports the integration of third-country nationals in the local community.<\/p><p>M.R.I.C.'s role involves the following  responsibilities:<\/p><ul><li class=\"translation-block\">Identification and examination of the integration issues and problems that refugees and migrants face in the specific municipality area.<\/li><li>Collaboration with public authorities or municipality authorities.<\/li><li>Submission of integration-related proposals to the Municipality Council.<\/li><li>Resolution of problems that migrants face, especially using the counseling services offered in municipalities.<\/li><li>Organization of events in collaboration with the municipality to help raise awareness and enhance social cohesion in local communities.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-13a7fe4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"13a7fe4\" data-element_type=\"section\" Integration Councils consist of eleven (11) members who are appointed by the Municipality Council.<\/p><p>Members are: municipality counselors, representatives of organizations for migrant and refugee issues and refugees who are permanent residents of the specific municipality.<\/p><p>The operation and purpose of  M.R.I.C. were first established by article 78 of law 3852\/2010.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\">With article 79 of law 4555\/2018, the framework of their operation and procedures was re-evaluated and M.R.I.C. now also include refugees.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
