The emphasis that must be placed on supporting human rights, and in particular women's rights, is self-evident. Self-evident is also the need to safeguard coordinated support for both the neighboring countries of Afghanistan and the transit ones. Greece emphasizes and supports the need to form a common European stance on the crisis in Afghanistan. However, we make it clear in all tones that Greece does not want and will not again become an EU entry gate for those who choose to cross the European border
