Virtual 3D Exhibition

Ministry of Migration and Asylum

The Ministry of Migration and Asylum hosts in its infrastructure a permanent exhibition of works of art from the School of Fine Arts. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and security reasons, this permanent exhibition cannot welcome visitors. In this context, the online presence of the exhibition was deemed necessary, through a 3D virtual exhibition application.

The objectives of the project were the following:

  • Free and wide promotion of the exhibits of the permanent exhibition on the internet.
  • Free and wide display of exhibits that could not be exhibited due to restrictions on access to the Ministry premises in question (e.g. Offices not accessible to the public).
  • Informing the art-loving public about the selected exhibits.
  • Informing the art-loving public about the creators of the exhibits.
  • Entertaining experience browsing through the exhibits of the 3D exhibition for every online visitor.
  • Integration of content highlighting technologies for the purpose of their further use and application for the maximum possible visibility of the available cultural material.
  • Incorporation of a physical exhibit recognition mechanism and application (e.g. using QR) to provide information to the art-loving public about the selected exhibits.
