Ministry of Immigration and Asylum implements all the necessary measures and procedures for the proper implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as of Law 4624/2019 This new legal framework strengthens the rights of individuals uring process of their personal data.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal data is information that can identify a specific person, e.g. name, address, email address, phone number, passport or ID.

All user data is collection is based on specific and voluntary consent in accordance with applicable rules and technological developments. Any change in the legal framework will also bring the corresponding changes in user data management for which there will be clear information and timely updating - modification.

The user of the application can contact the address: dpo@migration.gov.gr to be informed about the data that is kept, while at his request, nonupdated data can be modified.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL DATA

We do not intently collect children’s personal data (under the age of 16). Under any circumstances parental consent will be required to process this kind of data.

DATA MAINTENANCE

The data is kept for as long as the registration remains active and in the backup files that are kept for this purpose, in order to ensure effective communication. Exception to the deletion of data applies when retention is required by applicable European and Greek law.
When processing is required by provisions of the applicable legal framework, personal data is stored for as long as the relevant provisions require.
Personal data is kept accurate and up to date. However, relevant changes are updated after changes by users.

We ensure that all personal information provided to us is protected in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations. We enforce appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, misuse or disclosure, unauthorized modification or unauthorised destruction or the loss of personal information.

By entering your details for your registration on our websites/apps, a unique username and password is automatically created which is certified by the user through confirmation from the registered email account.
