The Greek Minister of Migration and Asylum Mr. Dimitris Kairidis had a conference call with the German State Secretary competent for migration issues Mr. Bernd Krösser.
The main topic of discussion was the increased flow of illegal arrivals in the Greek islands of Eastern Aegean.
Both sides explored ways to tackle the problem and the risks involved and agreed that this is a Euro-Turkey issue.
Both sides agreed to meet again on the sidelines of the upcoming Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs, next week in Brussels, with the participation of the EU Commissioner, Mrs Ylva Johansson.
