INFORMATION FOR UK NATIONALS AND FAMILY MEMBERS LIVING IN GREECE
United Kingdom left the EU on 31 January 2020. The Withdrawal Agreement sets out a transition period which ends on 31 December 2020. EU law is applicable during the transition period. The Withdrawal Agreement protects those EU citizens residing in the United Kingdom, and UK nationals residing in one of the 27 EU Member States at the end of the transition period. Read more

Residence of UK nationals and family members in Greece
UK nationals or family members of a UK national
- already living in Greece in accordance with EU law or moving to Greece by 31.12.2020
- continue to live in Greece after 31.12.2020
have a right of residence on the basis of the Withdrawal Agreement.
Persons who are eligible for residence rights under the Withdrawal Agreement have the right to receive, in accordance with the conditions set out in Directive 2004/38/ECa residence document, which includes a statement that it has been issued in accordance with this Agreement. UK nationals beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement
UK nationals are invited to submit an application for the new residence permit at the responsible Police authoritieswww.astynomia.gr)
Citizens of Third Countries, family members of UK citizens
Third country nationals who are family members of a UK national and already residing in Greece under EU law, have to apply for the new residence permit. They will be invited to an appointment at the immigration authority αρμόδιες Υπηρεσίες μιας στάσης των Διευθύνσεων Αλλοδαπών και Μετανάστευσης των Αποκεντρωμένων Διοικήσεων Χώραςin their place of residence.
Applications can be submitted from 01.01.2021 until 30.06.2021.
Third country nationals who enter Greece after 1st January 2021 and are family members of a UK national, beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement, are required to submit an application within three months from their date of arrival in the country. UK nationals not beneficiaries of the Withdrawal Agreement
UK nationals who enter Greece from 1stth January 2021 onwards and do not fall under the scope of the Withdrawal Agreement may reside in the country according the national immigration law applied to third country (https://migration.gov.gr/legal-migration/metanasteusi-stin-ellada/)
