The Minister of Migration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarachi, is participating today 31.08.2021, in the emergency Council of Internal Affairs of the EU, which will take place in Brussels.
The Council will focus on the recent developments in Afghanistan and their impact on the migration flows to Europe. The EU Home Affairs Council will meet at the request of Greece supported by the first reception countries MED 5 (Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Malta) in order to find a common line of all member states in dealing with the new geopolitical developments.
