The Asylum Service wishes to inform beneficiaries of international protection eligible to apply for family reunification:
For beneficiaries of international protection to whom the decision of refugee status was served from 13/12/2019 to 13/03/2020, and according to Presidential Decree 131/2006, the submission of the following two (2) supporting documents is required:
1. A recent certificate of marital status or other document officially translated into Greek and certified by a competent Greek authority, from which the family bond of the individuals that are to join the refugee, as well as their age, may be deduced.
2. A certified copy of the travel documents of the family member(s).
The beneficiaries may submit an application for family reunification until the 31/08/2020 (included) with the obligation to submit only the two (2) supporting documents above.
The extension of this period is only awarded for the convenience of the beneficiaries, as the deadlines for exercising their aforementioned right have expired, due to the suspension of the Service as regards the reception and service of the public during the implementation of public healthprotectionmeasures, in order to avoid and limit the spread of COVID-19.
