The new study by the European Migration Network (EMN) analyses the situation in the EU 20 years after the implementation of the relevant Directive on family reunification of third-country nationals (Council Directive 2003/86/EC). It is an updated overview of the situation at EU level to understand how family reunification has evolved in recent years and what the current situation is in EMN members (EU Member States except Denmark) and observer countries (Norway, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Montenegro, Armenia, Serbia).
