Launch of the Complaints Mechanism 

The launch of the fundamental rights violations Complaints Mechanism is announced by the Fundamental Rights Officer at the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

The establishment of the Mechanism is part of the responsibilities of the Fundamental Rights Officer, who receives written complaints from third country nationals on alleged violations of fundamental rights by actions or omissions of public authorities, during the access to the territory and/or reception and/or asylum procedures in Greece.

The Fundamental Rights Officer handles complaints with confidentiality, informs the complainants of the progress of the examination of the complaints and is kept informed of the progress of the complaints that he transfers for further examination to the competent bodies.

The standardized complaints forms, as well as information on how to fill in and submit the complaints, are available on the website of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.
