Central Administration Service
Η Κεντρική Υπηρεσία Ασύλου διευθύνει και συντονίζει την Υπηρεσία Ασύλου. Η Υπηρεσία Ασύλου υπάγεται απευθείας στον Γ.Γ. Μεταναστευτικής Πολιτικής.
Η Κεντρική Υπηρεσία προγραμματίζει, κατευθύνει, παρακολουθεί και ελέγχει τη δράση των Γραφείων και Κλιμακίων Ασύλου και εξασφαλίζει τις αναγκαίες προϋποθέσεις για την άσκηση των αρμοδιοτήτων τους.
Προΐσταται αυτής Διευθυντής, σε επίπεδο Ειδικού Γραμματέα, ο οποίος ορίζεται από τον Υπουργό Προστασίας του Πολίτη, ύστερα από δημόσια πρόσκληση ενδιαφέροντος, με θητεία τριών ετών.
The Directorate is supported by a Secretariat, within which an independent Public Relations and Information Office operates, which undertakes and handles the issues of communication, informing the public and public relations.
From February 4, 2012 until February 3, 2018, the director of the Asylum Service was Mrs. Maria Stavropoulou. The Director of the Asylum Service since April 19, 2018 is Mr. Markos Karavias (Government Gazette no. 220, 18/04/2018).
