In the framework of the initiative undertaken by the Minister of Μigration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarachi, regarding the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the Schengen area, he hosted a working breakfast on the sidelines of the 2nd European Conference on Border Management.
The representatives of Greece, Minister of Migration and Asylum, Mr. Notis Mitarachi, Federal Minister of the Interior of Austria, Mr. Gerhard Karner, Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of the Interior of Bulgaria, Mr. Ivan Demerdzhiev, the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Mrs. Susanna Terstal and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania, Mr. Marcoci Alexandru met and had an open discussion on the issue of the enlargement of the Schengen area.
